The black background goes so well with this...not a bunch of depth of field cluttering up the pic

What I like more than the pattern is the contrast between the dark and light.. Also, the ripples in the leaf make certain areas more green than others which I find interesting

I just used a lavalamp, and brought it super close to the underside of the leaf. No flash! I'm surprised it blacked out everything in the background. :-O
